Q. What does the Mystical Body Mystical Voice program offer that may be different from other programs about the translation of the new Missal?

A: Mystical Body, Mystical Voice is not simply a program that explains the changes of the new missal as if we were simply changing the words we say. Rather, MBMV seizes the opportunity of the new missal as a valuable vehicle for liturgical catechesis and deeper understanding of the Second Vatican Council. It begins with a liturgical primer and then understands the translation of the new missal in that light. Participants in the MBMV program will have a renewed understanding of the purpose and nature of the sacred liturgy so that the coming translations will be understood as welcome and appropriate. Q: Does the Mystical Body Mystical Voice workshop come to parishes?
A: The first workshops of Mystical Body, Mystical Voice will be offered on a regional and diocesan level to train diocesan level leaders. It gives tools that may be brought back to parishes for continuing education including a book, on-line resources, bulletin entries and videos.

Q: What does my organization need to do if it hosts Mystical Body Mystical Voice?
A: In order to host a Mystical Body, Mystical Voice session, a hosting organization should first contact the Liturgical Institute to check for scheduling availability. The Mystical Body, Mystical Voice team of two presenters will come to the location determined by the host. The hosting organization therefore has the freedom to choose local venue, hospitality and method of invitation as they see fit.

Q: Is there a cost involved in hosting a Mystical Body Mystical Voice workshop?
A: Costs involved in the Mystical Body, Mystical Voice workshop at local sites include travel (and lodging if necessary) and honorarium fees for the speakers. The hosting organization covers the costs related to invitations, venue, meals and incidentals. Call for details: 847.837.4542.
