8:30      Hospitality/Welcome/Prayer

9:00      Session I: Preparing a Fertile Ground

In this session we will discuss how to prepare the people for the new Missal by laying the groundwork for liturgical understanding.

Some of the topics to be covered:

·     Introduction to liturgical and sacramental theology

·     Christ is present in the Liturgy

·     Christ continues to work through the Sacraments

10:45    Session II: And the Word Was God

In this session we will show how the words we say are important and explain the principles of Liturgiam Authenticam.

               Some of the topics to be covered:

         ·      How the language of the liturgy expresses Christ's mystical voice

         ·      Liturgiam Authenicam and the translation of the Roman Missal

12:00    Midday Prayer/Lunch

1:00      Session III: And the Lord Spoke to Moses Face to Face As One Man Speaks to Another

In this session we will explore the new texts of the Liturgy of the Word, their origin, meaning and richness.

            Some of the topics to be covered:

·          “And with your spirit”

·          Confiteor

·          Gloria

·          Credo

2:15    Session IV: And the Word Was Made Flesh

In this session we will consider the texts of the Liturgy of the Eucharist, their biblical referents, theological nuance and sacramental reality.

            Some of the topics to be covered:

·          Orate Fratres

·          Sanctus

·          Pro multis

·          Memorial Acclamation

·          Ecce Agnus Dei

·          Dismissal

3:30    Session V: And The Meaning of All These Signs Is Christ (CCC, 1151)

In this session, concrete ideas and practical suggestions will reveal how the implementation of the Roman Missal allows the members of the Mystical Body to join their earthly voices with Christ's own Mystical Voice.
